ਤਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇਨਤੀਆਂ ਮੰਨ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਹਟ ਗਈ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਗਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬੜਾ ਦਿਆਲੂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੰਡਿਤ ਹੋਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਸੋ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਹੀ ਦੰਡਿਤ ਹੋਵਾਂ।”

1 Chronicles 21:26
ਉੱਥੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਤਾਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਅੱਗ ਭੇਜੀ।

Lamentations 3:32
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਮ ਵੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਰਤਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੈ।
