2 Samuel 19:24
ਮਫ਼ੀਬੋਸ਼ਥ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਗਿਆ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਫ਼ੀਬੋਸ਼ਥ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੀਕ ਜਦ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੜ ਆਇਆ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਧੋਤੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਹੜੀ ਸੁਆਰੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਧੁਆਏ ਸਨ।

ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਉਹ ਰੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਰ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰੋ ਨੰਗਾ ਸੀ। ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਢੱਕੱ ਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੋਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਗਏ।

ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਦੀਬੋਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਨੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੋਣ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਬੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਦਬਾ ਲਈ ਰੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਦਾਸ ਹਨ ਮੂੰਹ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
