ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਪੈਗੰਬਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਮੁੜ। ਅਤੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀਮਅਸ ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਜੋ ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਜਾ।

ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਜ਼ੂਲ ਸਿੱਧ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੇਁ, ‘ਹੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ, ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।’
