2 Samuel 10:14
ਜਦੋਂ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਰਾਮੀ ਭੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਬੀਸ਼ਈ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਨੱਸ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜ ਗਏ। ਤਦ ਯੋਆਬ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੁੜਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ।

| then fled | וַיָּנֻ֙סוּ֙ | wayyānusû | va-ya-NOO-SOO |
| they also before | מִפְּנֵ֣י | mippĕnê | mee-peh-NAY |
| Abishai, | אֲבִישַׁ֔י | ʾăbîšay | uh-vee-SHAI |
| and entered | וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ | wayyābōʾû | va-ya-VOH-oo |
| into the city. | הָעִ֑יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| So Joab | וַיָּ֣שָׁב | wayyāšob | va-YA-shove |
| returned | יוֹאָ֗ב | yôʾāb | yoh-AV |
| from | מֵעַל֙ | mēʿal | may-AL |
| the children | בְּנֵ֣י | bĕnê | beh-NAY |
| of Ammon, | עַמּ֔וֹן | ʿammôn | AH-mone |
| and came | וַיָּבֹ֖א | wayyābōʾ | va-ya-VOH |
| to Jerusalem. | יְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ | yĕrûšāloim | yeh-ROO-sha-loh-EEM |
