ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸੀ। ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੀ। ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਅਹੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਨਾਦਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਨਾਦਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਗਿਬਥੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਨਾਦਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਹਤਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ।
