2 Kings 6:33
ਜਦੋਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਅਜੇ ਆਗੂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖੋ! ਇਹ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਭਲਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਾਂ?”

| the messenger | הַמַּלְאָ֖ךְ | hammalʾāk | ha-mahl-AK |
| came down | יֹרֵ֣ד | yōrēd | yoh-RADE |
| unto | אֵלָ֑יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
| said, he and him: | וַיֹּ֗אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| Behold, | הִנֵּה | hinnē | hee-NAY |
| this | זֹ֤את | zōt | zote |
| evil | הָֽרָעָה֙ | hārāʿāh | ha-ra-AH |
| is of | מֵאֵ֣ת | mēʾēt | may-ATE |
| the Lord; | יְהוָ֔ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| what | מָֽה | mâ | ma |
| should I wait | אוֹחִ֥יל | ʾôḥîl | oh-HEEL |
| for the Lord | לַֽיהוָ֖ה | layhwâ | lai-VA |
| any longer? | עֽוֹד׃ | ʿôd | ode |
