ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਬਚਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ? ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਖਲਵਾੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨਾਜ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਚੁਬੱਚੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ ਹੈ।”

Psalm 146:3
ਆਪਣੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ।

ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਲਈ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
