ਜਦੋਂ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੇਹਾਜੀ! ਤੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਦੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਸੀ?” ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਗਿਆ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ!”

ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਨਾਨਿਯਾ, ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਵਜਹ ਸੀ? ਤੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਕੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵੇਚਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਉਸ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਚੋਰੀ-ਚੋਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ?
