2 Kings 3:24
ਜਦੋਂ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਏ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

| rose up | יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
| and smote | וַיַּכּ֣וּ | wayyakkû | va-YA-koo |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the Moabites, | מוֹאָ֔ב | môʾāb | moh-AV |
| fled they that so | וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ | wayyānusû | va-ya-NOO-soo |
| before | מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם | mippĕnêhem | mee-peh-nay-HEM |
| them: but they went forward | וַיַּ֨בּוּ | wayyabbû | va-YA-boo |
| smiting | בָ֔הּ | bāh | va |
| וְהַכּ֖וֹת | wĕhakkôt | veh-HA-kote | |
| the Moabites, | אֶת | ʾet | et |
