ਪਰ ਤਦ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਨਾ ਹਟੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਸਭ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੂਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਥਪਥ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਲੇ, ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ, ਮੋਆਬ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੱਥੇ ਭੇਜੇ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ, ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਬੀ ਦਾ ਮਖੌਲ ਉਡਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਜਾਂ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਦ ਤੀਕ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਇੰਨਾ ਨਾ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਰੋਧ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਪਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
Jeremiah 3:7
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਇਹ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤ ਆਵੇਗਾ।’ ਪਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਿਆ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਭੈਣ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਵੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੋਣ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਭੇਜ ਦੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਦੇ।
