ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਥੰਮ ਵੀ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਦਰੋਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਧ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਧੂੜ ਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਚੁੱਕ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।

ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੂਰਤ ਘੜਵਾ ਕੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਬੁੱਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਵਾਇਆ। ਅਤੇ ਰੱਖਵਾਇਆ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇੱਥੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜੜ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਟ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਛੱਡ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਬਾਬਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਆਖਣਗੇ।
