2 Kings 2:8
ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਟ ਲਾਹ ਕੇ ਵਲੇਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੱਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਦੋ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।

| his mantle, | אַדַּרְתּ֤וֹ | ʾaddartô | ah-dahr-TOH |
| together, it wrapped and | וַיִּגְלֹם֙ | wayyiglōm | va-yeeɡ-LOME |
| and smote | וַיַּכֶּ֣ה | wayyakke | va-ya-KEH |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the waters, | הַמַּ֔יִם | hammayim | ha-MA-yeem |
| divided were they and | וַיֵּֽחָצ֖וּ | wayyēḥāṣû | va-yay-ha-TSOO |
| hither | הֵ֣נָּה | hēnnâ | HAY-na |
| and thither, | וָהֵ֑נָּה | wāhēnnâ | va-HAY-na |
| two they that so | וַיַּֽעַבְר֥וּ | wayyaʿabrû | va-ya-av-ROO |
| went over | שְׁנֵיהֶ֖ם | šĕnêhem | sheh-nay-HEM |
| on dry ground. | בֶּחָֽרָבָֽה׃ | beḥārābâ | beh-HA-ra-VA |
