ਤਦ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਢੱਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮੋਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੋਲ ਧਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਭਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਜੇ ਹਥ ਰਹੇ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਵਾਲੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
