‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੀਕ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕੌਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਮੰਦਰ ਉਸਾਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।’

2 Samuel 7:15
ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਦਯਾਲੂ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ (ਤਖਤ ਤੋਂ) ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਇੰਝ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਤਦ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਠਹਿਰਾਈਆ ਹੈ।

1 Samuel 15:23

ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਮੂਰੱਖਤਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨੀ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰਾਜ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ।

1 Samuel 10:24
ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖੋ! ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।” ਤਦ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ਬੁਲਾਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ।”

Deuteronomy 12:11

Deuteronomy 12:5
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਉਸਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

Exodus 23:21
ਦੂਤ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲਣਾ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ। ਦੂਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ।

Daniel 9:19
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿਓ, ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕੁਝ ਕਰੋ! ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ! ਕੁਝ ਕਰੋ ਹੁਣ! ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਨੇਕੀ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਕਰੋ। ਮੇਰੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਹੁਣ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।”
