“ਜੇਕਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸੋਕਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਆਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨੋ ਹਟ ਜਾਣ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

Revelation 11:6

Jeremiah 14:1

Isaiah 5:6

Proverbs 28:13

ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਕਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿਸ਼ਬੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ। ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ। ਉਸਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਨਾ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਨਾ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ। ਮੀਂਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”
