2 Chronicles 6:10
ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹੀ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੂੰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਯਾਲੂ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕੀਤਾ। ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਛਾਯਾ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ।
