ਸੋ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਿਓ! ਹੁਣ ਆਲਸ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਵਕਤ ਜ਼ਾਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।”

ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਣਾ ਵੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Galatians 6:7
