“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਦੈਵ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਇੰਝ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸੰਮਾਨ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਿਰਸੱਕਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਾਂਸੇ ਦਾ ਧੂਫ਼ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਅੱਗ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੂਫ਼ ਪਾ। ਜਲਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।”

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਨੇ ਤਾਂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਧੂਫ਼ਦਾਨ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੜ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਧੂਫ਼ਦਾਨ ਬਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਧੂਫ਼ਦਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਡ ਕੇ ਚਪਟਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਧਾਤ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
