ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਬੁਲਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਲਈ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਜਾਓ ਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਇਉਂ ਕਰੋ।” ਪਰ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਜਲਦੀ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਬੁਲਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਲਈ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਜਾਓ ਤੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਇਉਂ ਕਰੋ।” ਪਰ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਜਲਦੀ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
