2 Chronicles 21:12
ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ: ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਨੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੂੰ ਅਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਸਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੁਰਿਆ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਚਾਨਕ, ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਹੱਥ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉਂਗਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੰਧ ਦੇ ਪਲਸਤਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਕਰੇ। ਹੱਥ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ। ਰਾਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
Jeremiah 36:28
“ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਲਈ। ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਲਿਖ ਲੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਓਹੀ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
Jeremiah 36:23
ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਜਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਪੈਰੇ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
Jeremiah 36:2
“ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖ ਲੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ, ਹੁਣ ਤੀਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੋਲੇ ਗਏ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖ ਲੈ।
2 Kings 2:11
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ’ਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੋਨੋ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਅਚਾਨਕ ਕੁਝ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਅੱਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਨ। ਤਦ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਇਸ ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
2 Kings 2:1
ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਹੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਏਲੀਯਾਹ, ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਨੇਕ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਨੇ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਗੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
1 Kings 15:11
ਆਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਸੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਾਮ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵੇਚਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਸਨ।
Ezekiel 2:9
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ (ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ) ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਵੱਧਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਜੂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਇਸਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਫ਼ੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
