ਕਿਰਯਥ-ਯਾਰੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਬੈਤਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਯਥ-ਯਾਰੀਮ ਵੱਲ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਲਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਏ ਹਨ, ਸੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੋ।”

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਬਆਲ (ਕਿਰਯਥ ਯਾਰੀਮ) ਦੇ ਦੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ।

ਲਾਇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਰਸਤੇ, ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਯਾਰੀਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰੁਕ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਲਾ ਲਏ। ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਯਾਰੀਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਅੱਜ ਤੀਕ ਵੀ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦਾਨ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Psalm 78:60
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸੰਗ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।

“‘ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਹੁਣ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਓ। ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਓ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਘਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਹਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
