ਏਲੀ ਦੀ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਈਕਾਬੋਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਜਿਸਤੋਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਸੀ, “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਜੋ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੌਹਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਤੀ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
