ਤਦ ਆਕੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਭੈੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਵੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ।
