ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਪਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਚਿਆ, “ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਫ਼ੜੇਗਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਬਚਕੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਵਾਂ। ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਭਾਲ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਉਂ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਬੱਚ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”

1 Samuel 21:10
ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਗਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੈਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜਣਾ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਦਾਊਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗਥ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਕੀਸ਼ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਇਵੇਂ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਆਕੀਸ਼ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਤ ਗਿਆ। ਆਕੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਅੱਜ ਤੂੰ ਛਾਪਾ ਮਾਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ?” ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ, ਯਰਾਹ ਮਿਏਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼।”
2 Corinthians 7:5
