ਇੰਝ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਜਦ ਤੀਕ ਦਾਊਦ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਠਹਿਰੇ।
