ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਅ ਖਾਣਾ ਅਗਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮੇ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਸ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਪਾਗਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਵਤੀਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ। ਦਾਊਦ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਰਬਤ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।

Zechariah 13:2

ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਜੰਗ ਜਿਤੋਂਗੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੈਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।”

ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੋ। ਜੇਕਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਮੰਨ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਆਦਮ ਜਾਇਆ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸਰਾਪ ਲੱਗੇ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਜਾ, ਜਾਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜ।’
1 Samuel 19:23
ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਡੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਬੋਲਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਰਦਾ-ਤੁਰਦਾ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਆਖੀ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵੀ ਲਾਹ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
1 Samuel 16:14
ਇੱਕ ਬੁਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਤਮੇ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੁਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
