2 Corinthians 1:9
ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਚ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕੀਏ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

Psalm 138:7

ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵੇ, ਦਾਊਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ। ਤੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।” ਤਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

1 Samuel 24:19
ਇੱਥੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਕੇ ਛੱਡਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਲਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਆਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਭਲਾਈ ਦਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

Psalm 11:1
ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਲਈ। ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਕੀਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੱਜਕੇ ਲੁਕ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, “ਪੰਛੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਉੱਡਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੋ।”
