ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ’ਚ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਚੱਲੋ।” ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੇ ਯੱਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਨਿਉਤਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

2 Chronicles 30:17

“ਹੁਣ ਜਾਉ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਉ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ, ‘ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਉ। ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰੋ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੋਂਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ।
Numbers 11:8
