ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 30,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਚੁਣੇ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 2,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਕਮਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤੇਲ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ 1,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਯੋਨਾਥਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ।
