ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦਾ ਯਾਬੇਸ਼-ਗਿਲਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣਾ ਤਦ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਆਏ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਜ਼ੋਰ-ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੀ ਚੀਕਣ ਲੱਗੇ।

1 Samuel 14:2
ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਮਿਗਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਨਾਰ ਦੇ ਬਿਰਛ ਹੇਠ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਕਣਕ ਛਟ੍ਟਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਵਕਤ ਕੋਈ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸਨ।
