1 Samuel 1:26
ਹੰਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਏਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਖਿਮਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਔਰਤ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਕਸਮ ਖਾਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚ ਆਖ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ।

| my lord, | אֲדֹנִ֑י | ʾădōnî | uh-doh-NEE |
| I | אֲנִ֣י | ʾănî | uh-NEE |
| am the woman | הָֽאִשָּׁ֗ה | hāʾiššâ | ha-ee-SHA |
| that stood | הַנִּצֶּ֤בֶת | hanniṣṣebet | ha-nee-TSEH-vet |
| by | עִמְּכָה֙ | ʿimmĕkāh | ee-meh-HA |
| here, thee | בָּזֶ֔ה | bāze | ba-ZEH |
| praying | לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל | lĕhitpallēl | leh-heet-pa-LALE |
| unto | אֶל | ʾel | el |
