1 Peter 3:21
ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਬਪਤਿਸਮੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਪਤਿਸਮੇ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਸਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਲ ਲਾਹੁਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
