ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਜ਼ੋਰ-ਜ਼ਬਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਵਾਏ, ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿੱਲੋ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸਫੀਲ ਦੇ ਹਾਸ਼ੋਰ ਤੇ ਮਗਿੱਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਜਰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਣਵਾਏ।

ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਸ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।”
