ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਘਰ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਬੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਉਹ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਚ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਭੇਸ ਵਟਾਅ ਕੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖ। ਸੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਭੇਸ ਵਟਾਅ ਕੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ।”

ਤਾਂ ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਬੈਠਕ ਬੁਲਾਈ। ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ 400 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਨਬੀ ਸਨ। ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ? ਜਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਈ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਾਂ?” ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਬਖਸ਼ੇਗਾ।”
