ਯੇਹੂ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ।

ਤਦ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਹਾਂ-ਪੁਰਖਾਂ, ਨਿਕਟੀ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ, ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ, ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਯੇਹੂ ਦਾ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ 70 ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ। ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ,

Exodus 20:5
ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਜਾਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਾਂ ਪੋਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੜਪੋਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
