1 Kings 19:4
ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਥੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਝਾੜੀ ਹੇਠ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਮੌਤ ਮੰਗੀ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ! ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜੀਅ ਲਿਆ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।”

ਜਦੋਂ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਵੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ, ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ।

Nahum 3:8

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ’ਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੋਨੋ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਅਚਾਨਕ ਕੁਝ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਅੱਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਨ। ਤਦ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਇਸ ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
1 Kings 13:14
ਬੁੱਢਾ ਨਬੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲ ਪਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਬਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਬੈਠਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਫੇਰ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ?” ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ।”
Genesis 21:15
