ਇਉਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਲਦ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ, ਇਸ ਦੇ ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤੀਕ ਬਆਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਕਿ, “ਹੇ ਬਆਲ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੁਆਬ ਦੇ!” ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਵਾਜ਼। ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੱਚਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ ਅੱਗ ਨਾ ਬਲੀ।

Daniel 5:23

Isaiah 45:20

Isaiah 44:17

Psalm 135:15
ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੋਨੇ-ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹੀ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਬੰਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੁੱਤ ਸਨ।
