ਆਮਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਅਹਾਬ ਲਈ ਉਹੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਾਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਦੋਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਏਥਬਾਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ,ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਅਲ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਖਹਿੜਾ ਛੁਡਵਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਬਆਲ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
