ਤਦ ਆਮਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਮੇਤ ਗਿਬਥੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਤਿਰਸਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ।

ਹੁਣ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ। ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਆ ਸੱਕਣ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਬਣਾਈ।

ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਸਿਓ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਬਾਉ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ।
