ਆਸਾ ਨੇ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਅਬੀਯਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇੰਝ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਦੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਾ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ।

ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਫ਼ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ। ਅਜੇ ਤੀਕ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ, ਨਾ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਆਸਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਆਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੂਰ-ਚੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਪਰ ਇਸਨੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ। ਲੋਕ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
