ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਥੰਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਤਦ ਅਥਲਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਫ਼ਾੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲੀ “ਗਦਰ ਗਦਰ।”

ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਤਾਜ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਕਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਉਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਲਾਮਤ ਰਹੇ।”
2 Kings 11:12
