ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ।

ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਗਏ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਾਸ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਭੀੜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ।
1 Chronicles 26:12
ਇਹ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ। ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਢੰਗ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਉਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
Ezekiel 44:2
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਬੰਦ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
Acts 3:11
ਪਤਰਸ ਦਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਠੀਕ-ਠਾਕ ਸੀ। ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਕੋਲ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਲਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੌੜੇ ਆਏ।
