1 Chronicles 11:3
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਥਾਪਿਆ। ਇਹ ਓਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਸਮੂਏਲ ਦਾ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਲਈ ਭਲਾ ਇੰਨੀ ਦੇਰ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਨਾਵੇਂਗਾ? ਤੂੰ ਅਜੇ ਤੀਕ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਸਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ ਭਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ। ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯੱਸੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।”

ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਯਾਬੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਤਦ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਯਾਬੇਸ਼ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬਿਆ।”

ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਤਦ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹੀ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ਜ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
2 Kings 23:30
ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਗਿੱਦੋ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਬਰ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ। ਤਦ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਆਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
2 Kings 11:17
ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਮ ਬਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਜਾ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨੇਗੀ।

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ। ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਈ।
Judges 11:11
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ (ਆਗੂਆਂ) ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਫ਼ਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਹਰਾਏ।
