ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਾ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਯੋਬਾਬ ਬਸਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ: ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਬਾਸਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਮਲਬੇ ਦਾ ਢੇਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਲੋਕੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦ-ਦੁਆ ਦੇਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਬਾਸਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”
