Hebrews 7:11
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਜਕ-ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ। ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਵ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਲਕਿਸਿਦਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
Job 33:24

Deuteronomy 34:5
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ, ਉੱਥੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਵਾਪਰੇਗੀ।
Deuteronomy 18:1
ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਦੇਣਾ “ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਿਰਬਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਕਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ।
Numbers 16:16

Numbers 15:25
“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਪ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਲਿਆਂਦੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕ ਬਖਸ਼ੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
Leviticus 21:1
ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ, ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ; ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਹੋਈ ਮੌਤ ਕਾਰਣ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

Exodus 29:36
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਇੱਕ ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਭੇਟ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਛਿੜਕੋਂਗੇ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ।
