ਸੰਗੀਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ, ਦਿਲਰੁਬਾ, ਛੈਣਿਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੀਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਣਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ:

ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗਦਾਲਯਾਹ, ਸਰੀ, ਯਸ਼ਆਯਾਹ, ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮਤਿੱਥਯਾਹ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਕੁਲ 6 ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ। ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਬਰਬਤ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਬੁੱਵਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਹੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਾਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਛੈਣੇ, ਦਿਲਰੁਬਾ ਤੇ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਸੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।

ਅਜ਼ਰਾਂਹੀ ਦੇ ਏਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਭਗਤੀ ਗੀਤ। ਮੈਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ-ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
