ଆହସ୍ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରୁ, ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଗୃହରୁ ଓ ମାନ୍ଯଗଣଙ୍କଠାରୁ କିଛି ମୂଲ୍ଯବାନ୍ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ନେଲେ। ଆହସ୍ ସହେି ସାମଗ୍ରୀଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଅଶୂରୀଯ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କଲା ନାହିଁ।

ଶୀଶକ୍ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ଉପରେ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ ଥିବା ଧନସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ସବୁ ଲୁଟି ନଇଗେଲେ। ଶୀଶକ୍ ମିଶରର ରାଜା ଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ରେ ଥିବା ଧନସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ସବୁ ଲୁଟି ନଇଗେଲେ। ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ସେ ଶ ଲୋମ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଥିବା ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଢ଼ାଲ ନଇଗେଲେ।

ବିନା ଚିନ୍ତା କରି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କଲେ ଏହା ଭୟଜନକ ଅଟେ, ମୁଁ ଏହି ଉପହାର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବ। ଏବଂ ତା'ପ ରେ ସହେି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ପୁନଃବିଚାର କରାୟାଏ।
