କିନ୍ତୁ ପୀନହସ୍ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ ଏବଂ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତା'ର ମହାମାରୀ ଦୂର କଲେ।

| Phinehas, | פִּֽ֭ינְחָס | pînĕḥos | PEE-neh-hose |
| judgment: executed and | וַיְפַלֵּ֑ל | waypallēl | vai-fa-LALE |
| and so the plague | וַ֝תֵּעָצַ֗ר | wattēʿāṣar | VA-tay-ah-TSAHR |
| was stayed. | הַמַּגֵּפָֽה׃ | hammaggēpâ | ha-ma-ɡay-FA |
