ପୀଲାତ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ନଇଯାେଅ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଅନୁସାରେ ତାହାର ବିଚାର କର। ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ କହିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ଆଇନ ଅନୁସାରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ କାହାକୁ ମୃତ୍ଯୁଦଣ୍ଡ ଦଇପୋରିବୁ ନାହିଁ।
