Genesis 4:12
ଅତୀତ ରେ ଭୂମିରେ କୃଷିକର୍ମ କଲେ ହେଁ ତାହା ଆପଣା ଶକ୍ତି ଦଇେ ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସବୋ କରିବ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ବୁଲୁଥିବ, ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗୃହ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ।

ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଯାହା କିଛି ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଥିଲେ ତାହା ଅସାର ହାଇଗେଲା। ଏହା ସଂସାରର ପସନ୍ଦ ନ ଥିଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏହା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥିର କରି ଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଭରଷା ଥିଲା:

ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ମାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ତେଣୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ କଥା ଶୁଣିବେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ବସହରା ହାଇେ ୟାୟାବର ପରି ଏଣତେଣେେ ଦେଶର ସବୁଆଡେ ବୁଲିବେ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 20:3
ତହିଁ ପରଦିନ ପଶ୍ହୂର ଯିରିମିୟଙ୍କୁ ହରିକାଠରୁ ବାହାର କରିଆଣିଲା। ତା'ପ ରେ ଯିରିମିୟ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନାମ ପଶ୍ହୂର ନ ରଖି ମାଗୋର ମୀଷାବୀବ୍ (ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗେ ଆଶଙ୍କା) ରଖି ଅଛନ୍ତି।

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବୃଥା ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରିବ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଭୂମି ଶସ୍ଯ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ବୃକ୍ଷ ସକଳ ଫଳ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

ଏହାପର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମନୁଷ୍ଯକୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସହେି ବୃକ୍ଷର ଫଳ ନ ଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦଇେଥିଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲ ଏବଂ ସହେି ଫଳ ଖାଇଲ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଭୂମି ଶାପଗ୍ରସ୍ଥ ହେଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ୟାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ କ୍ଲେଶ ରେ ତହିଁରୁ ଭକ୍ଷ କରିବ।
